Cinder

Meet Cinder. A Dalmatian puppy, full of energy, that will put a smile on your face the moment you meet her!

Cinder is helping raise money for the S.P.C.A and if she raises enough money she will get her picture in the S.P.C.A calender! So if you see a can with her picture on she would really like it if you helped her win!

Cooking over a Campfire

Step 1: Build the fire
Step 2: Fill your dutch oven with meat and potatoes
Step 3: Gather your tools. A shovel, a lid lifter, lid holder, etc...

What NOT to do: Cook in your bare feet!
Step 4: Set your dutch oven in the coals
Step 5: Cover the top of the dutch oven with coals
Step 6: Check and stir the food every so often and adjust heat as needed. Remove dutch oven from the fire when the food is almost done. Let it finish cooking.
Step 7: Make a little "surprise" to cook over the fire.
Step 8: Top the meat and potatoes with cheese and let it melt.
Step 9: Serve the food to the hungry people that are hanging around the fire.
Step 10: When the salmon is finished cooking serve it to anyone brave enough yo try it! (it was my first attempt to cook salmon over the fire, and it was yummy!)
Step 11: Sit back and enjoy the fire!

Christmas Part 1

For those of you who are not on facebook, here is a look at some the pictures I take for the Port Matilda Fire Company. Sunday was the Halfmoon Christmas Party and the fire company was there giving fire truck rides!

It was a beautiful sunny day and the children and adults enjoyed riding in the fire trucks!

Saturday Family Time

It was a beautiful fall day on our farm and we were shooting our shotguns and rifles to get ready for the upcoming hunting seasons.

Emma sat in the 'seat' she made as dad helped her practice shooting the shotgun. And while the others shot rifle we did a little photo shoot with Laura, Wyatt and Emma.

Because safety is important to my family the kids were styling their ear protection!

We had a lot of fun and laughter as they posed on a funny tree stump!

Good Photographers Need Good Rain Coats!

I have a lot to learn when it comes to photography but one thing I have learned is that good photographers need good rain coats! This is why:
Fall is a beautiful time of year! And on a foggy, rainy day like today the leaves are even brighter!
So, wearing my knee high muck boots and a camouflage rain coat, I set out across the farm to photograph the fall leaves.

Take time to enjoy all God has blessed you with, even in the rain!
